Major applications
The Rilsan is a polyamide 11 is a lightweight material with outstanding mechanical properties and excellent chemical resistance. These properties are essential for applications in extreme conditions.
Rilsan® polyamides 11 are mainly used in oil & gas, automotive, aeronautic, sport, and textile applications. Some grades are approved for food contact ormedical applications.

- Low density (1,03) – 15% lighter than PA6, three times lighter than aluminum
- Low moisture pick-up
- Excellent impact resistance – Especially low temperature
- Ductility – High elongation at break and high tensile strength

- Excellent chemical resistance – Especially to hydrocarbons
- Easy processing (extrusion, injection, blow-molding, roto-molding)
